It's the annual insect contest! Grab your dice and show em' who's the best beetle around!

In Ladybud Roll you play as "Ladybud" a rad Ladybug with a baseball cap. You'll go up against 6 other insects, rolling and playing dice as your "Attack" and "Block". Between rounds you'll have a chance to pick up new dice, or destroy some for powerfull boons.

Settings

• Press 0 through 9 to adjust game volume
• Press M key to mute music
• Press F key to swap between the game and accessible fonts
• Press T key to disable animations

Game Controls

• Use Arrow Keys to move your selection between buttons and dice
• Use X key to confirm selections on most screens
• When selecting dice, use A to assign for attacking, D to assign for defending (block), and C to clear the selection

Screen Reader Controls

• Press R key to repeat any text that was just read
• Press E key to hear the enemy stats and next actions
• Press Q key to hear your own stats

Screen Reader Support

This game uses screen reader support native to the browser. While there are no native HTML elements in the game, there is an interactive canvas that will update any active screen readers when the game state update.

Known Bugs

None so far, will update if any are discovered.

About this game

Ladybud Roll was created by Jesse Jurman, with art done by Ethan Jurman. Special thanks to Ethan Jurman and Tina Howard for playtesting support.

This game was created for the Games For Blind Gamers 4 game jam.

The game was built with the LÖVE / Love2d engine, and made accessible using the love-a11y-template (created for this project).

Music and Sound Effects were created by Jesse Jurman using Pico-8.
